High strength and high modulus PE short fiber: 5mm-15mm/1.5D

Usage of high-strength and high modulus polyethylene fiber: Based on the excellent performance of high-strength polyethylene fiber, it is currently widely used in various fields such as safety protection, aviation, aerospace, navigation, electronics, weapons, shipbuilding, building materials, sports, medical treatment, etc., such as bulletproof vests, bulletproof cash carriers, shields, armor protection plates for tanks and ships, parachute cables, marine engineering cables for ships, mountaineering ropes, fishing nets, fishing line racing boats, sailboats, bowstrings Tennis rackets, sleds, artificial joints and ligaments, safety shields, impact resistant containers, etc.

High strength and high modulus PE short fiber is one of the three high-performance fibers (carbon fiber, aramid fiber, and high strength and high wear polyethylene fiber) in the world today, and it is also the highest strength fiber in the world. Its basic characteristics are

High strength: More than 10 times stronger than high-quality steel

High wear capacity: second only to premium carbon fiber

Low density: less than 1, able to float on the water surface

The physical properties of high-strength and high modulus polyethylene short fibers are very excellent. Due to its high crystallinity and the absence of chemical groups that are prone to react with chemicals, it is resistant to water, moisture, chemical corrosion, ultraviolet radiation (therefore no UV pre-treatment is required), corrosion, acid and alkali resistance, and wear resistance (not only has high modulus, but also is soft and has a long bending life)

The melting point of high-strength high modulus polyethylene short fibers ranges from 144 to 152 ℃, and the strength and wear amount decrease with the increase of temperature. However, under conditions below 0 ℃, the change is not significant, and there is no embrittlement point at low temperatures of -150 ℃. Therefore, the use temperature can be between -150 ℃ to 70 ℃, and short-term exposure to a 110 ℃ environment will not cause serious performance degradation.
